Tai Chi Class

Welcome to WholenessInMotion. Tai chi is a whole body and mind exercise that combines meditation, martial art and health tonic in one. This particular form is the Yang style, 37 posture short form as taught by Prof. Cheng Man-ch'ing. This fascinating and intricate exercise has many benefits and just about anyone can practice it.

Tom Daly

Since 1982, Tom Daly has been training under Maggie Newman, a senior student of Professor Cheng Man-Ch’ing, and has been Ms. Newman’s assistant since 1985.  Tom began teaching his own classes in 1990. Tom currently teaches private group classes at Chelsea Studios and has conducted workshops for Polytechnic Institute of NYU, Long Island University, SAGE and GMHC. He has continued studying with many Cheng Man-Ch’ing lineage students including Ben Lo, Lenzie Williams, Mr. Liu, Steve Rose, and Wei-Ming.
